This summer, (July 13-17) Ghent University’s Linguistics Department is organizing a week-long summer school, entitled Methods in Language Sciences.
The Ghent NT&T-team is putting together a module (one of 8) that zooms in on ethnographic methods and is aimed at students from a variety of backgrounds with a keen interest in discourse and (the processes of) communication.
We welcome master-level students, PhD candidates and post-doctoral researchers and ask students to bring along data from their own research.
Not only does this promise to be an interesting and challenging experience, involving plenty of fieldwork, analysis, and discussion, participants will also be able to enjoy our beautiful city right before our annual ten-day festival.
